Asking for engagement is a great way to increase your reach, shares and potential for new audience acquisition. It is this type of participatory content that ensures amplification of your posts.
This is a very simple concept that will make sure your audience interacts with your content. If planned and executed properly companies can gain insight into their audience’s needs through this technique. It can also be used to gather user-generated content, which is ideal.

However, they repurpose the content for their own channels, tag the user who supplied the content and they are then engaged because:
A) It is the user’s content, so they will share your re-purposed content that they supplied to gain recognition from their friends. This also means more reach and recognition for your company
B) They and others will also be inclined to engage to gain recognition from the company
Another way to further increase the engagement is to repurpose the content and encourage voting.
